Hiroshi has over 25 years of private aesthetic practice as a consultant cosmetic, plastic and reconstructive surgeon, including extensive experience in the rejuvenation of the face and reshaping of the breast, trunk and limbs with the use of techniques such as facelifts, blepharoplasty, endoscopic brow lifts, rhinoplasty, liposuction, breast augmentation, mastopexy and breast reduction.

He is on the GMC Specialist Register for Plastic Surgery and is a full member of the specialist associations BAAPS and BAPRAS. Hiroshi also sits on the intercollegiate examination board and is a member of the ISCFS (International society for Craniofacial Surgery) and the RSM (Royal society of Medicine).

Carly Dalton - Private Patient Manager

I have over 10 years’ experience within the cosmetic surgery industry with a wealth of knowledge regarding each procedure. I lead our team of patient advisors and coordinate the journey of Mr Nishikawa’s patients at The Westbourne Centre, from the initial enquiry all the way through to the aftercare and beyond. It’s a very rewarding role, helping people to feel amazing about their appearance by guiding them in the right direction for their surgical outcome.

Karen Reeves – Lead Pre-Assessment Nurse

I work with Mr Nishikawa at The Westbourne Centre as a pre-assessment nurse. I ensure that all our patients who are booked for surgery are fit and well and medically suitable for surgery. I am always available for any information that patients might require regarding their procedure, and generally anything that is on the patient's mind, to reassure and ensure the procedure and care are delivered to the highest standards.

Anja Smith – Private Secretary

I am Mr Nishikawa’s private secretary. I enjoy all patient contact. My aim is to give patients an excellent patient experience with us at The Westbourne Centre. I am usually first point of contact following the consultation with Mr Nishikawa. Having the background of a theatre practitioner, I have knowledge regarding each procedure. I give quotes, send patient correspondence, arrange theatre bookings and closely liaise with Claire, our admin assistant, and with The Centre’s nursing and theatre staff to be able to provide an outstanding patient journey.

The majority of cosmetic surgery at Hiroshi’s practice at The Westbourne Centre, is either carried out under local anaesthetic or a combination of local anaesthetic with sedation. This means that the recovery for patients from anaesthesia is rapid, meaning procedures that previously required a hospital stay overnight, can be carried out as a day case. With local anaesthetic and sedation, there is a diminished incidence of nausea and vomiting, and recovery is more rapid. This in turn diminishes complications associated with slow postoperative recovery, such as deep vein thrombosis and pulmonary embolus.

Multidisciplinary Care

Hiroshi works solely at The Westbourne Centre in Edgbaston, where he works alongside some of Birmingham’s most distinguished consultant anaesthetists and clinical nurse specialists. The entire multidisciplinary team is dedicated to the safe, high quality treatment and care of cosmetic patients. His caring, experienced and supportive team are here to assist you right from the very beginning of your journey, all the way through to your aftercare and beyond. Hiroshi never discharges anyone and believes that cosmetic surgery is a long-term commitment for both the surgeon and the patient. Hiroshi is regularly featured in the press and media, including Tatler magazine’s ‘Good Surgeon Guide’. Hiroshi is passionate about the reconstructive work that he’s carried out in Africa, mainly in Ethiopia and Ghana. He’s been to Africa on multiple occasions on reconstructive surgery missions and 9 times for the Charity ‘Facing Africa’, which has been featured on Channel 5.
